The above, plus the catacombs -- freaky, but awesome. And Notre Dame. And there used to be a quilt shop not far from Notre Dame, I think. Maybe it's still there.
Montmatre for a wander around the market, the Sacre Coeur for the view, the Latin Quarter for dinner, a stroll through the Tuilleries and the Musee d'Orsay. Also a fun thing to do is the hop on/hop off Bateaux on the Seine - start at the Eiffel Tower (Trocadero) - it's a great way to see Paris from the river. Bon voyage :-) xx
Eat! I just think food. And museums. I love the Louvre, but wandering off the beaten path and seeing what you stumble upon. Have a wonderful time. Hope the weather is nice!
Ooh Paris lovely....if the weather is nice...a walk through the Tulleries, along the Seine, and although its a climb up to Sacre Coere to take in the views. Wander the food markets and watch the world go by from a pavement cafe. Have a great time.
Many have already suggested sites to see, but travel from one site to another eats a lot of time unless you're on a chartered tour. Watch for pickpockets and scammers. If you visit the Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries, be wary if a young woman approaches you and tries to give you a gold ring she "finds" on the ground. Don't take the ring and walk away quickly. If you visit Montmatre, don't let the many scam artists that inhabit the area tie yarn or string around wrist. They'll demand cash to set you free. I hope you have a safe, fun trip.
Buy a Passee de Musee for the number of days you will be there. Definitely the Louvre, Sacre Couer, a boat cruise on the Seine (they're just an hour), D'Orsay, and, of course the Eiffel Tower. So hard to choose, we spent twelve days and I would have gone back again and again!
Jealous! Go to the Musée de l’Orangerie, which is in Tuileries Gardens and see Monet's waterlilies, Musee D'Orsay for Toulouse Lautrec and many other treasures As a sculptress you might like the Rodin Museum (a bit out of the centre, though). Amble through the Left Bank for lots of lovely little shops and Montmartre for the amazing church and views of the city. I could go on, and even if you do none of those things, you will have a great time. Find a bar, have several beers and watch the world go by.... *sigh*
lucky lucky you! J'aime Paris beaucoup!! Definitely Musee D'Orsay, Eiffel Tower...altho I had to come down with severe panic attacks!, lots of vino and cafes and general wandering and seeing where you end up!
Also visit "Le Marche des Puces,Eiffel Tower,Montmatre....I had a supper in a boat over the Sena. There are lovely thigs to see.I was there five year ans every day was a great day.Have fun ,can´t wait to see your pics!
