I love Saturdays.
Especially the ones when I don't have to work.
Especially the ones with sunshine.
And I especially love the Saturday before the day that I spend with Lu Summers [designer of Summersville fabrics] at a printmaking workshop with some of the other London Modern Quilt Guild people :) Yay - I can't wait for tomorrow! I've got all my fabric pieces washed (still need to iron them) and I have gathered the bits and pieces that I need to bring. I'm ready and I can't wait for tomorrow!!
Yay for Saturday! I finished my Shirt Bunny today. Started him quite late last night so today all I had to do was stitch his arms in place and add his eyes and nose. This was from a Martha Stewart pattern (a freebie) and was very easy to do. I up-cycled parts of two men's dress shirts and think he turned out pretty darn cute. Bad photo though - his ears are actually longer than they look in the picture and it's those ears that make him especially lovable! I love his wonky arms too!! I can happily cross him off my Small Project Sew Along list.
Scissor lanyard sewn in mostly Amy Butler fabrics. My own design, if you can call it that! |
Modelling the lanyard. |
Zakka Mug Rug - not a cloud in sight! I'll post another picture when it is finished. |
**FUGLY FABRICS** I still have a couple available to swap. Press here to see what I have.
Ok, I'm off to press my fabrics for the workshop tomorrow. Happy Saturday night!

DeleteI used a really great quality shirt and used interfacing [pattern did not call for it but I was worried about my fabric] so I would recommend following the pattern :) Use a small stitch length too. If you make one, show me too!!!
Some great little projects there! Loving the look of the mug rug! =D
