- My word for 2014 is "DO".
- I am a fabricholic and have committed myself to a FABRIC FAST until June 30th and plan to use what I have in the house already -- including my scraps!
- My scraps are sorted by colour and stored in fabric baskets of varying sizes.
All I have to do is make something once a month using my scraps and link it up! Easy peasy, right? This is something I can definitely sink my teeth into! So, what project using scraps shall I "DO" first? [see what I did there?? hahaha]
Happy scrappy Friday!
Make a fabric basket to store more scraps in! I just did.

Scrapy patchwork zipper pouch, always useful.
ReplyDeleteI am with you all the way, my fabric stash including scraps is taking over the cottage. I have decided to make at least 4 quilts to donate, 2 girl 2 boy. The first girl top is finished and ready to layer and baste and the first boy top is cut and piecing has started. Once the 4 are basted I will have a marathon quilting and binding session. I still have to find a home for them possibly via the Red Cross. The scary part is that with all the fabrics pulled I have enough to cut the remaining 2 tops and it has not made a dent in my stash.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to make lots of cushions this year and they are great for using up scraps. I decided to make cushions to try new patterns and build skills. They are also fairly quick to finish. My word for the year is Relax, according to my husband I am not doing very well so far!
ReplyDeleteSomething gentle to begin with, build up your scrappy stamina!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great idea! I'm looking forward to seeing your scrappy projects :)
ReplyDeleteI love scrappy projects so can't wait to see what you come up with. I'm still building up my scrap collection one of my main problems is that to build up scraps you have to actually sew, instead of just petting your fabric stash! :0)
