Is there anything better than rooting through a button tin to find the perfect button? Ok, yes, eating cake is possibly on par - but the satisfaction of finding
THE PERFECT button is really, really, really, and I mean
REALLY good. Ohh and the noise the buttons make when you shove them around the tin and pick through them and toss them back in, rejected
this time. Hmmmm...buttons.
Happy Sunday everyone :)

ReplyDeleteOh yes, I too know the joy of the button tin ;-)
Happy Easter!
I think I NEED a button tin now!
ReplyDeleteI miss my button tin...I left it back in Canada when I moved...;o( I've had to start a new collection. BTW have you seen this video about dyeing buttons...http://video.answers.com/how-to-upcycle-fashions-with-dyed-buttons-427056424 just think of the possibilities!
ReplyDeleteI left mine in Canada too but as you can see managed to start again [mostly from boot sales]. I miss good ol'fashioned garage sales. Anyways, just watched the video - interesting. Can we get that dye here?
DeleteI love buttons too!! I picked some up in London...need to get a bigger button stash though!! =D
ReplyDeleteA student at my patchwork class gave me her mother's button box. Original vintage. This would make a nice swap project for London.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a button tin either, but I also think I need one now..... especially in view of the haberdashery swap next month!
